Post Cards of Lake Patzcuaro
BELOW: Pan American World Airways issued this advertising postcard circa 1948. Look closely, this rare card is color printed on linen and expensive to produce.
This is only postcard I know of Erongaricuaro is taken by Lola Alvarez Bravo in 1945. As you see the canal was dug because after Paricutin erupted 30 miles away in 1943, the lake had dried up considerably. It has dried more, since then. The area shown now has a libremente road around Eronga with an Artesanal area and restaurant on this side, facing the canal.
The extra long dugoout is called tupari.
All postcards are standard size,
3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, and are part of my post card collection.
