ALAS is excited to have an exhibit with artist, Vatche Geuvdjelian. Vatche has lived in Patzcuaro since 1982, but has a very interesting history as he was born in Ethiopia and has lived, studied and traveled in a variety of countries.

His work has been shown in Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, England and France, while exhibiting yearly in Morelia and Patzcuaro. He will show his latest oil paintings in Los Angeles in September. The “Sublimation Prints” on display at ALAS, are a result of a decade of experimentation on Photoshop where Vatche builds digital layers on top of scanned watercolors.

We hope you will join us and meet Vatche at his art opening on May 31st at ALAS, Dr. Coss #12 from 5 to 7. Then you can walk over to the theater on the Plaza Chica to support the girls' Casa Hogar and listen to excellent classical music. It should be a lovely evening to enjoy culture at its finest!
